Shaving Cutters
Shaving cutters are the instruments used to impart a shaving finish to the instruments and have numerous cutting teeth on their periphery, to perform the function. A large number of spiteful edges are shaped on the edges of the thread of the cutter. Each sharp edge is tending along an arc or a straight line in the straggling direction as seen in the direction of turning around of the cutter in use. Gear shaving is the most economical and efficient refinement process in the tool industry for providing high precision and high surface finish tooth profiles of gears. Generally, the meshing action between the pitch surface of a shaving cutter and the associated gear are in crossed axes. Therefore, in order to discharge the hair-like chips the shaving cutter has a relief portion at the root. Gear shaving is basically a finishing operation.
There is a wide range of shaving cutters are available. Transverse shaving cutters the gear that is shaved reciprocates in the direction of its own axis. The tool and the gear are in mesh. With each step of reciprocation, there is an occurrence of small quantity of radial feeding of the shaving cutter. Diagonal shaving cutters are thosein which the gear selected for shaving reciprocates obliquely in direction to its own axis. The gear and the tool are made to stay in a mesh. The diagonal angle can be got by positioning of the workpiece table in an oblique manner or by the process of interpolating of the two machine axes. Plunge shaving cutters in this method there is no worktable translation. Instead there takes place a radial feed of the workpiece against the tool that is used as shaving cutter. Plunge shaving is particularly good for shaving of shoulder gear. Underpass shaving cutters is primarily identical to diagonal shaving with a small variation in the form of a diagonal angle of 90 degrees. In underpa

The various advantages of shaving cutters are there which makes them useful in the tool industry. Shaving improves tooth surface finish. It eliminates the problem of tooth end loadconcentrations. It is used for effective reduction in the noise of gears with modification in the tooth profile. It increase the gears load capacity Improved safety and service life. Their basic purpose is to neaten the outline of the gear teeth and to provide the required excellence and fine quality to the gear surface.

Better shaving cream Barbosal or Edge Pro Gel?
I just want to know which shaving cream is better. Should I be using after shave? Or not. Thanks
if Edge is better, why do barbers use Barbosal?
I use a Neutrogena shaving gel that is great. I can't remember the name of it, but it is in a blackish-grey container... probably the only shaving gel they make. It's a little pricier than edge, but it has ingredients that prevent razor bumps, plus it is unscented, which I prefer. I got it at Wal-Mart so it should be pretty easy to find. Stay away from Barbosal and Gilette shaving creams--I dislike both. Never tried Edge so I can't make a comment on that brand.
